We consider the Schrödinger equation for the harmonic oscillator$i$$∂$_{$t$}$u$=$Hu$, where$H$=−Δ+|$x$|^{2}, with initial data in the Hermite–Sobolev space$H$^{−$s$/2}$L$^{2}(ℝ^{$n$}). We obtain smoothing and maximal estimates and apply these to perturbations of the equation and almost everywhere convergence problems.

Consider the following elliptic system: \begin{equation*} \left\{\aligned&-\ve^2\Delta u_1+\lambda_1u_1=\mu_1u_1^3+\alpha_1u_1^{p-1}+\beta u_2^2u_1\quad&\text{in }\Omega,\\ &-\ve^2\Delta u_2+\lambda_2u_2=\mu_2u_2^3+\alpha_2u_2^{p-1}+\beta u_1^2u_2\quad&\text{in }\Omega,\\ &u_1,u_2>0\quad\text{in }\Omega,\quad u_1=u_2=0\quad\text{on }\partial\Omega,\endaligned\right. \end{equation*} where $\Omega\subset\bbr^4$ is a bounded domain, $\lambda_i,\mu_i,\alpha_i>0$ $(i=1,2)$ and $\beta\not=0$ are constants, $\ve>0$ is a small parameter and $2<p<2^*=4$. By using variational methods, we study the existence of ground state solutions to this system for sufficiently small $\ve>0$. The concentration behaviors of least-energy solutions as $\ve\to0^+$ are also studied. Furthermore, by combining elliptic estimates and local energy estimates, we obtain the locations of these spikes as $\ve\to0^+$.

This paper investigates infinite-time spreading and finite-time blow-up for the Keller-Segel system. For 0 < m ≤ 2 − 2 / d, the L p space for both dynamic and steady solutions are detected with ${p:=\frac{d(2-m)}{2} }$ . Firstly, the global existence of the weak solution is proved for small initial data in L p . Moreover, when m > 1 − 2 / d, the weak solution preserves mass and satisfies the hyper-contractive estimates in L q for any p < q < ∞. Furthermore, for slow diffusion 1 < m ≤ 2 − 2/d, this weak solution is also a weak entropy solution which blows up at finite time provided by the initial negative free energy. For m > 2 − 2/d, the hyper-contractive estimates are also obtained. Finally, we focus on the L p norm of the steady solutions, it is shown that the energy critical exponent m = 2d/(d + 2) is the critical exponent separating finite L p norm and infinite L p norm for the steady state solutions.

Given a compact Riemannian manifold $M$, we consider a warped product manifold $\bar M = I \times_h M$, where $I$ is an open interval in $\Bbb R$. For a positive function $\psi$ defined on $\bar M$, we generalize the arguments in \cite{GRW2015} and \cite{RW16}, to obtain the curvature estimates for Hessian equations $\sigma_k(\kappa)=\psi(V,\nu(V))$. We also obtain some existence results for the starshaped compact hypersurface $\Sigma$ satisfying the above equation with various assumptions.

For a bipolar hydrodynamic model of semiconductors in the form of EulerPoisson equations with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions, in this paper we first heuristically analyze the most probable asymptotic profile (the so-called diffusion waves) and then prove this long-time behavior rigorously. For this, we construct correction functions to show the convergence of the original solution to the diffusion wave with optimal convergence rates by the energy method. Moreover, in the case with Dirichlet boundary condition, when the initial perturbation is in some weighted L^1 space, a faster and optimal convergence rate is also given.
