In [GS15], Goncharov and Shen introduce a family of mapping class group invariant regular functions on their A-moduli space to explicitly formulate a particular homological mirror symmetry conjecture. Using these regular functions, we obtain McShane identities general rank positive surface group representations with loxodromic boundary monodromy and (non-strict) McShane-type inequalities for general rank positive representations with unipotent boundary monodromy. Our identities are expressed in terms of projective invariants, and we study these invariants: we establish boundedness and Fuchsian rigidity results for triple ratios. Moreover, we obtain McShane identities for finite-area cusped convex real projective surfaces by generalizing the Birman--Series geodesic scarcity theorem. We apply our identities to derive the simple spectral discreteness of unipotent bordered positive representations, collar lemmas, and generalizations of the Thurston metric.

Fundamental group is one of the most important topological invariants for general manifolds, which can be directly used as manifolds classification. In this work, we provide a series of practical and efficient algorithms to compute fundamental groups for general 3-manifolds based on CW cell decomposition. The input is a tetrahedral mesh, while the output is symbolic representation of its first fundamental group. We further simplify the fundamental group representation using computational algebraic method. We present the theoretical arguments of our algorithms, elaborate the algorithms with a number of examples, and give the analysis of their computational complexity.

We make the elementary observation that the Lagrangian submanifolds of$C$^{$n$},$n$≥3, constructed by Ekholm, Eliashberg, Murphy and Smith are non-uniruled and, moreover, have infinite relative Gromov width. The construction of these submanifolds involve exact Lagrangian caps, which obviously are non-uniruled in themselves. This property is also used to show that if a Legendrian submanifold inside a contactisation admits an exact Lagrangian cap, then its Chekanov–Eliashberg algebra is acyclic.

We study the rigidity of polyhedral surfaces and the moduli space of polyhedral surfaces using variational principles. Curvaturelike quantities for polyhedral surfaces are introduced and are shown to determine the polyhedral metric up to isometry. The action functionals in the variational approaches are derived from the cosine law. They can be considered as 2-dimensional counterparts of the Schlaefli formula.

We propose a geometric inequality for two-dimensional spacelike surfaces in the Schwarzschild spacetime. This inequality implies the Penrose inequality for collapsing dust shells in general relativity, as proposed by Penrose and Gibbons. We prove that the inequality holds in several important cases.

Based on work of Rasmussen [Ras03], we construct a concordance invariant associated to the knot Floer complex, and exhibit examples in which this invariant gives arbitrarily better bounds on the 4-ball genus than the Ozsv ́ath-Szab ́o τ invariant.

In this article, we continue the work in Guan-Li and study a normalized hypersurface flow in the more general ambient setting of warped product spaces. This flow preserves the volume of the bounded domain enclosed by a graphical hypersurface, and monotonically decreases the hypersurface area. As an application, the isoperimetric problem in warped product spaces is solved for such domains.
