Let $\mathbf{U}$ be the quantum group and $\mathbf{f}$ be the Lusztig's algebra associated with a symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix. The algebra $\mathbf{f}$ can be viewed as the positive part of $\mathbf{U}$. Lusztig introduced some symmetries $T_i$ on $\mathbf{U}$ for all $i\in I$. Since $T_i(\mathbf{f})$ is not contained in $\mathbf{f}$, Lusztig considered two subalgebras ${_i\mathbf{f}}$ and ${^i\mathbf{f}}$ of $\mathbf{f}$ for any $i\in I$, where ${_i\mathbf{f}}=\{x\in\mathbf{f}\,\,|\,\,T_i(x)\in\mathbf{f}\}$ and ${^i\mathbf{f}}=\{x\in\mathbf{f}\,\,|\,\,T^{-1}_i(x)\in\mathbf{f}\}$. The restriction of $T_i$ on ${_i\mathbf{f}}$ is also denoted by $T_i:{_i\mathbf{f}}\rightarrow{^i\mathbf{f}}$. The geometric realization of $\mathbf{f}$ and its canonical basis are introduced by Lusztig via some semisimple complexes on the variety consisting of representations of the corresponding quiver. When the generalized Cartan matrix is symmetric, Xiao and Zhao gave geometric realizations of Lusztig's symmetries in the sense of Lusztig. In this paper, we shall generalize this result and give geometric realizations of ${_i\mathbf{f}}$, ${^i\mathbf{f}}$ and $T_i:{_i\mathbf{f}}\rightarrow{^i\mathbf{f}}$ by using the language 'quiver with automorphism' introduced by Lusztig.

Let A be a finite dimensional algebra and D^b(A) be the bounded derived category of finitely generated left A-modules. In this paper we consider lengths of compact exceptional objects in D^b(A), proving a sufficient condition such that these lengths are bounded by the number of isomorphism classes of simple A-modules. Moreover, we show that algebras satisfying this condition is bounded derived simple.

Let $A = \bigoplus _{i \geqslant 0} A_i$ be a graded locally finite $k$-algebra where $A_0$ is a finite-dimensional algebra whose finitistic dimension is 0. In this paper we develop a generalized Koszul theory preserving many classical results, and show an explicit correspondence between this generalized theory and the classical theory. Applications in representations of certain categories and extension algebras of standard modules of standardly stratified algebras are described.

In this paper we consider several homological dimensions of crossed products $A _{\alpha} ^{\sigma} G$, where $A$ is a left Noetherian ring and $G$ is a finite group. We revisit the induction and restriction functors in derived categories, generalizing a few classical results for separable extensions. The global dimension and finitistic dimension of $A ^{\sigma} _{\alpha} G$ are classified: global dimension of $A ^{\sigma} _{\alpha} G$ is either infinity or equal to that of $A$, and finitistic dimension of $A ^{\sigma} _{\alpha} G$ coincides with that of $A$. A criterion for skew group rings to have finite global dimensions is deduced. Under the hypothesis that $A$ is a semiprimary algebra containing a complete set of primitive orthogonal idempotents closed under the action of a Sylow $p$-subgroup $S \leqslant G$, we show that $A$ and $A _{\alpha} ^{\sigma} G$ share the same homological dimensions under extra assumptions.

Let k be a commutative Noetherian ring. In this paper we consider filtered modules of the category FI firstly introduced by Nagpal. We show that a finitely generated FI-module V is filtered if and only if its higher homologies all vanish, and if and only if a certain homology vanishes. Using this homological characterization, we characterize finitely generated FI-modules V whose projective dimension is finite, and describe an upper bound for it. Furthermore, we give a new proof for the fact that V induces a finite complex of filtered modules, and use it as well as a result of Church and Ellenberg to obtain another upper bound for homological degrees of V.

We study derived categories arising from quivers with potential associated to a decorated marked surface S_Delta, in the sense taken in a paper by Qiu. We prove two conjectures from Qiu’s paper in which, under a bijection between certain objects in these categories and certain arcs in S, the dimensions of morphisms between these objects equal the intersection numbers between the corresponding arcs.

We prove that every finite group$G$can be realized as the group of self-homotopy equivalences of infinitely many elliptic spaces$X$. To construct those spaces we introduce a new technique which leads, for example, to the existence of infinitely many inflexible manifolds. Further applications to representation theory will appear in a separate paper.

In this paper, we study the relation between the cocenter \overline {{ilde {\mathcal H}}} and the representations of an affine pro-\overline {{ilde {\mathcal H}}} Hecke algebra \overline {{ilde {\mathcal H}}} . As a consequence, we obtain a new criterion on supersingular representations: a (virtual) representation of \overline {{ilde {\mathcal H}}} is supersingular if and only if its character vanishes on the non-supersingular part of the cocenter \overline {{ilde {\mathcal H}}} .

Let e be an arbitrary even nilpotent element in the general linear Lie super- algebra glM|N and let We be the associated finite W-superalgebra. Let Ym|n be the super Yangian associated to the Lie superalgebra glm|n. A subalgebra of Ym|n, called the shifted super Yangian and denoted by Ym|n(σ), is defined and studied. Moreover, an explicit iso- morphism between We and a quotient of Ym|n(σ) is established.

We define the i-restriction and i-induction functors on the category O of the cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras. This yields a crystal on the set of isomorphism classes of simple modules, which is isomorphic to the crystal of a Fock space.

For a symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, Lusztig introduced the corresponding modified quantized enveloping algebra $\dot{\textbf{U}}$ and its canonical basis $\dot{\textbf{B}}$ in [13]. In this paper, in case $\mathfrak{g}$ is a symmetric Kac-Moody Lie algebra of finite or affine type, we define a set $\tilde{\mathcal{M}}$ which depends only on the root category $\mathcal{R}$ and prove that there is a bijection between $\tilde{\mathcal{M}}$ and $\dot{\textbf{B}}$, where $\mathcal{R}$ is the $T^2$-orbit category of the bounded derived category of corresponding Dynkin or tame quiver. Our method is based on a result of Lin, Xiao and Zhang in [10], which gives a PBW-type basis of $\textbf{U}^+$.

Let $A$ be a finite dimensional k-algebra standardly stratified for a partial order $\leqslant$ and $\Delta$ be the direct sum of all standard modules. In this paper we study the extension algebra $E = Ext^{\ast}_A (Δ,Δ)$ of standard modules, characterize the stratification property of $E$ for $\geqslant$ and $\geqslant ^{op}$, and obtain a sufficient condition for $E$ to be a generalized Koszul algebra (in a sense which we define).

Following the method developed by Waldspurger and Beuzart-Plessis in their proof of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture, we prove a local trace formula for the Ginzburg-Rallis model. By applying this trace formula, we prove the multiplicity one theorem for the Ginzburg-Rallis model over the tempered Vogan L-packets. In some cases, we also prove the epsilon dichotomy conjecture which gives a relation between the multiplicity and the exterior cube epsilon factor. This is a sequel work of [Wan15] in which we proved the geometric side of the trace formula.

Let $\mathbf{U}$ be the quantized enveloping algebra and $\dot{\mathbf{U}}$ its modified form. Lusztig gives some symmetries on $\mathbf{U}$ and $\dot{\mathbf{U}}$. Since the realization of $\mathbf{U}$ by the reduced Drinfeld double of the Ringel-Hall algebra, one can apply the BGP-reflection functors to the double Ringel-Hall algebra to obtain Lusztig's symmetries on $\mathbf{U}$ and their important properties, for instance, the braid relations. In this paper, we define a modified form $\dot{\mathcal{H}}$ of the Ringel-Hall algebra and realize the Lusztig's symmetries on $\dot{\mathbf{U}}$ by applying the BGP-reflection functors to $\dot{\mathcal{H}}$.

In this article we study a conjecture of Geiss-Leclerc-Schröer, which is an analogue of a classical conjecture of Lusztig in the Weyl group case. It concerns the relation between canonical basis and semi-canonical basis through the characteristic cycles. We formulate an approach to this conjecture and prove it for type quiver. In the general type A case, we reduce the conjecture to show that certain nearby cycles have vanishing Euler characteristic.

We give a block decomposition of the dg category of character sheaves on a simple and simply-connected complex reductive group G, similar to the one in generalized Springer correspondence. As a corollary, we identify the category of character sheaves on G as the category of quasi-coherent sheaves on an explicitly defined derived stack G^.

We prove the local hard Lefschetz theorem and local Hodge–Riemann bilinear relations for Soergel bimodules. Using results of Soergel and Kübel, one may deduce an algebraic proof of the Jantzen conjectures. We observe that the Jantzen filtration may depend on the choice of non-dominant regular deformation direction.

We show that the product in the quantum K-ring of a generalized flag manifold G/P involves only finitely many powers of the Novikov variables. In contrast to previous approaches to this finiteness question, we exploit the finite difference module structure of quantum K-theory. At the core of the proof is a bound on the asymptotic growth of the J-function, which in turn comes from an analysis of the singularities of the zastava spaces studied in geometric representation theory. An appendix by H. Iritani establishes the equivalence between finiteness and a quadratic growth condition on certain shift operators.

We study a local multiplicity problem related to so-called generalized Shalika models. By establishing a local trace formula for these kind of models, we are able to prove a multiplicity formula for discrete series. As a result, we can show that these multiplicities are constant over every discrete Vogan L-packet and are related to local exterior square L-functions.

In this article we propose a geometric description of Arthur packets for p-adic groups using vanishing cycles of perverse sheaves. Our approach is inspired by the 1992 book by Adams, Barbasch and Vogan on the Langlands classification of admissible representations of real groups and follows the direction indicated by Vogan in his 1993 paper on the Langlands correspondence. Using vanishing cycles, we introduce and study a functor from the category of equivariant perverse sheaves on the moduli space of certain Langlands parameters to local systems on the regular part of the conormal bundle for this variety. In this article we establish the main properties of this functor and show that it plays the role of microlocalization in the work of Adams, Barbasch and Vogan. We use this to define ABV-packets for pure rational forms of p-adic groups and propose a geometric description of the transfer coefficients that appear in Arthur's main local result in the endoscopic classification of representations. This article includes conjectures modelled on Vogan's work, especially the prediction that Arthur packets are ABV-packets for p-adic groups. We gather evidence for these conjectures by verifying them in numerous examples.

Zelevinsky’s classification theory of discrete series of p-adic general linear groups has been well known. Mœglin and Tadić gave the same kind of theory for p-adic classical groups, which is more complicated due to the occurrence of nontrivial structure of L-packets. Nonetheless, their work is independent of the endoscopic classification theory of Arthur (also Mok in the unitary case), which concerns the structure of L-packets in these cases. So our goal in this paper is to make more explicit the connection between these two very different types of theories. To do so, we reprove the results of Mœglin and Tadić in the case of quasisplit symplectic groups and orthogonal groups by using Arthur’s theory.

We give a generalization of the classical tilting theorem of Brenner and Butler. We show that for a 2-term silting complex P in the bounded homotopy category K^b(proj A) of finitely generated projective modules of a finite dimensional algebra A, the algebra B=End_{K^b(proj A)}(P) admits a 2-term silting complex Q with the following properties: (i) The endomorphism algebra of Q in K^b(proj B) is a factor algebra of A, and (ii) there are induced torsion pairs in mod A and mod B, such that we obtain natural equivalences induced by Hom- and Ext-functors. Moreover, we show how the Auslander–Reiten theory of mod B can be described in terms of the Auslander–Reiten theory of mod A.
