In this paper, we prove two existence results of solutions to mean field equations Δu+e^u=ρδ_0 and Δu=λe^u(e^u−1)+4π\sum_{j=1}^M δ_{p_j} on an arbitrary connected finite graph, where ρ>0 and λ>0 are constants, M is a positive integer, and p_1,…,p_M are arbitrarily chosen distinct vertices on the graph.

In this paper, we discuss error estimates associated with three different aggregation-diffusion splitting schemes for the Keller-Segel equations. We start with one algorithm based on the Trotter product formula, and we show that the convergence rate is CΔt, where Δt is the time-step size. Secondly, we prove the convergence rate CΔt2 for the Strang's splitting. Lastly, we study a splitting scheme with the linear transport approximation, and prove the convergence rate CΔt.

We consider the stabilization of linear kinetic equations with a random relaxation term. The well-known framework of hypocoercivity by J. Dolbeault, C. Mouhot and C. Schmeiser (2015) ensures the stability in the deterministic case. This framework, however, cannot be applied directly for arbitrarily small random relaxation parameters. Therefore, we introduce a Galerkin formulation, which reformulates the stochastic system as a sequence of deterministic ones. We prove for the γ-distribution that the hypocoercivity framework ensures the stability of this series and hence the stochastic stability of the underlying random kinetic equation. The presented approach also yields a convergent numerical approximation.

We study the convergence rate of Glimm scheme for general systems of hyperbolic conservation laws without the assumption that each characteristic field is either genuinely nonlinear or linearly degenerate. We first give a sharper estimate of the error arising from the wave tracing argument by a careful analysis of the interaction between small waves. With this key estimate, the convergence rate is shown to be o (1) s 1 3| ln s| 1+ , which is sharper compared to o (1) s 1 4| ln s| given in [T. Yang, Convergence rate of Glimm scheme for general systems of hyperbolic conservation laws, Taiwanese J. Math. 7 (2)(2003) 195205]. However, it is still slower than o (1) s 1 2| ln s| given in [A. This article is concerned with the time periodic solution to the isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations in a periodic domain. Using an approach of parabolic regularization, we first obtain the existence of the time periodic solution to a regularized problem under some smallness and symmetry assumptions on the external force. The result for the original compressible Navier-Stokes equations is then obtained by a limiting process. The uniqueness of the periodic solution is also given.
