Let $M = \sum_1 \times \sum_2 $ be the product of two compact Riemannian manifolds of dimension $n \ge 2$ and two, respectively. Let $\sum $ be the graph of a smooth map $f: \sum_1 \to \sum_2$, then $\sum$ is an n-dimensional submanifold of $M$. Let $\mathcal{G}$ be the Grassmannian bundle over $M$ whose fiber at each point is the set of all n-dimensional subspaces of the tangent space of $M$. The Gauss map $\gamma :\sum \to \mathcal{G}$ assigns to each point $x \in \sum $ the tangent space of \sum$ at x. This article considers the mean curvature flow of $\sum $ in $M$. When $\sum_1|$ and $\sum_2|$ are of the same non-negative curvature, we show a sub-bundle \mathcal{S}$ of the Grassmannian bundle is preserved along the flow, i.e. if the Gauss map of the initial submanifold $\sum $ lies in \mathcal{S}$, then the Gauss map of $\sum_t$ at any later time $t$ remains in $\mathcal{S}$. We also show that under this initial condition, the mean curvature flow remains a graph, exists for all time and converges to the graph of a constant map at infinity . As an application, we show that if $f$ is any map from $S^n$ to $S^2$ and if at each point, the restriction of $df$ to any two dimensional subspace is area decreasing, then f is homotopic to a constant map.

We prove theorems on the structure of the fundamental group of a compact riemannian manifold of non-positive curvature. In particular, a conjecture of J. Wolf [<i>J. Differential Geometry</i>, 2, 421-446 (1968)] is proved.

Motivated by the study of coupled Kähler-Einstein metrics by Hultgren and Witt Nyström (2018) and coupled Kähler-Ricci solitons by Hultgren (2017), we study in this paper coupled Sasaki-Einstein metrics and coupled Sasaki-Ricci solitons. We first show an isomorphism between the Lie algebra of all transverse holomorphic vector fields and certain space of coupled basic functions related to coupled twisted Laplacians for basic functions, and obtain extensions of the well-known obstructions to the existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics to this coupled case. These results are reduced to coupled Kähler-Einstein metrics when the Sasaki structure is regular. Secondly we show the existence of toric coupled Sasaki-Einstein metrics when the basic first Chern class is positive extending the work of Hultgren (2017).

In this paper, we extend the work in \cite{D}\cite{ChrusLiWe}\cite{ChrusCo}\cite{Co}. We weaken the asymptotic conditions on the second fundamental form, and we also give an $L^{6}-$norm bound for the difference between general data and Extreme Kerr data or Extreme Kerr-Newman data by proving convexity of the renormalized Dirichlet energy when the target has non-positive curvature. In particular, we give the first proof of the strict mass/angular momentum/charge inequality for axisymmetric Einstein/Maxwell data which is not identical with the extreme Kerr-Newman solution.

Continuing the program of [DS] and [U1], we introduce refinements of the Donaldson-Smith standard surface count which are designed to count nodal pseudoholomorphic curves and curves with a prescribed decomposition into reducible components. In cases where a corresponding analogue of the Gromov-Taubes invariant is easy to define, our invariants agree with those analogues. We also prove a vanishing result for some of the invariants that count nodal curves.
