We establish a compact analogue of the P=W conjecture. For a projective irreducible holomorphic symplectic variety with a Lagrangian fibration, we show that the perverse numbers associated with the fibration match perfectly with the Hodge numbers of the total space. This builds a new connection between the topology of Lagrangian fibrations and the Hodge theory of hyper-Kähler manifolds. We present two applications of our result: one on the cohomology of the base and fibers of a Lagrangian fibration, and the other on the refined Gopakumar–Vafa invariants of a K3 surface. Furthermore, we show that the perverse filtration associated with a Lagrangian fibration is multiplicative under cup product.

We use the Atiyah-Bott-Segal-Singer Lefschetz fixed point formula to calculate the Hirzebruch ?_y genus X_y(S^[n]), where S^[n] is the Hilbert scheme of points of length n of a surface S. Combinatorial interpretation of the weights of the fixed points of the natural torus action on (²)^[n] is used. This is the first step to prove a conjectural formula about the elliptic genus of the Hilbert schemes.

This paper is a contribution to the general problem of giving an explicit description of the basic locus in the reduction modulo p of Shimura varieties. Motivated by\cite {Vollaard-Wedhorn} and\cite {Rapoport-Terstiege-Wilson}, we classify the cases where the basic locus is (in a natural way) the union of classical Deligne-Lusztig sets associated to Coxeter elements. We show that if this is satisfied, then the Newton strata and Ekedahl-Oort strata have many nice properties.

A classical set of birational invariants of a variety are its spaces of pluricanonical forms and some of their canonically defined subspaces. Each of these vector spaces admits a typical metric structure which is also birationally invariant. These vector spaces so metrized will be referred to as the pseudonormed spaces of the original varieties. A fundamental question is the following: Given two mildly singular projective varieties with some of the first variety9s pseudonormed spaces being isometric to the corresponding ones of the second variety9s, can one construct a birational map between them that induces these isometries? In this work, a positive answer to this question is given for varieties of general type. This can be thought of as a theorem of Torelli type for birational equivalence.

In the present paper we extend the Riemann–Roch formalism to structure algebras of moment graphs. We introduce and study the Chern character and push-forwards for twisted fibrations of moment graphs. We prove an analogue of the Riemann–Roch theorem for moment graphs. As an application, we obtain the Riemann–Roch type theorem for the equivariant K‑theory of some Kac–Moody flag varieties.
