The celebrated Mirror Theorem states that the genus zero part of the A model (quantum cohomology, rational curves counting) of the Fermat quintic threefold is equivalent to the B model (complex deformation, variation of Hodge structure) of its mirror dual orbifold. In this article, we establish a mirror-dual statement. Namely, the B model of the Fermat quintic threefold is shown to be equivalent to the A model of its mirror, and hence establishes the mirror symmetry as a true duality.

Fractal scatterings in weak solitary wave interactions is analyzed for generalized nonlinear Schrödiger equations (GNLS). Using asymptotic methods, these weak interactions are reduced to a universal second-order map. This map gives the same fractal scattering patterns as those in the GNLS equations both qualitatively and quantitatively. Scaling laws of these fractals are also derived.

We demonstrate how the inverse scattering problem of a quantum star graph can be solved by means of diagonalization of the Hermitian unitary matrix when the vertex coupling is of the scale-invariant (or Flp-Tsutsui) form. This enables the construction of quantum graphs with desired properties in a tailor-made fashion. The procedure is illustrated on the example of quantum vertices with equal transmission probabilities.
