A celebrated theorem of Kapranov states that the Atiyah class of the tangent bundle of a complex manifold X makes TX[−1] into a Lie algebra object in D+(X), the bounded below derived category of coherent sheaves on X. Furthermore, Kapranov proved that, for a Kähler manifold X, the Dolbeault resolution \Omega(T{1,0} X ) of TX[−1]is an L∞ algebra. In this paper, we prove that Kapranov’s theorem holds in much wider generality for vector bundles over Lie pairs. Given a Lie pair (L, A), i.e. a Lie algebroid L together with a Lie subalgebroid A, we define the Atiyah class αE of an A-module E as the obstruction to the existence of an A-compatible L-connection on E. We prove that the Atiyah classes αL/A and αE respectively make L/A[−1] and E[−1] into a Lie algebra and a Liealgebra module in the bounded below derived category D+(A), where A is the abelian category of left U(A)-modules and U(A) is the universal enveloping algebra of A. Moreover,we produce a homotopy Leibniz algebra and a homotopy Leibniz module stemming from the Atiyah classes of L/A and E, and inducing the afore said Lie structures in D+(A).

We compute the ring structure of Floer cohomology groups of Lagrangian torus fibers in some toric Fano manifolds continuing the study of [CO]. Related <i>A</i>-formulas hold for a transversal choice of chains. Two different computations are provided: a direct calculation using the classification of holomorphic discs by Oh and the author in [CO], and another method by using an <i>analogue of divisor equation</i> in Gromov-Witten invariants to the case of discs. Floer cohomology rings are shown to be isomorphic to Clifford algebras, whose quadratic forms are given by the Hessians of functions <i>W</i>, which turn out to be the superpotentials of Landau-Ginzburg mirrors. In the case of , this proves the prediction made by Hori, Kapustin and Li by B-model calculations via physical arguments. We study a time domain decorrelation method of source signal separation from convolutive sound mixtures based on an infinite impulse response (IIR) model. The IIR model uses fewer parameters to capture the physical mixing process and is useful for finding low dimensional separating solutions. We present inversion formulas to decorrelate the mixture signals and derive filter equations involving second order time lagged statistics of mixtures. We then formulate an l constrained minimization problem and solve it by an iterative method. Numerical experiments on recorded sound mixtures show that our method is capable of sound separation in low dimensional parameter spaces with good perceptual quality and low correlation coefficient comparable to the known infomax method.
