Let$D$be a domain in$R$^{2}whose complement is contained in a pair of rays leaving the origin. That is,$D$contains two sectors whose base angles sum to 2π. We use balayage to give an integral test that determines if the origin splits into exactly two minimal Martin boundary points, one approached through each sector. This test is related to other integral tests due to Benedicks and Chevallier, the former in the special case of a Denjoy domain. We then generalise our test, replacing the pair of rays by an arbitrary number.

This paper presents a versatile and robust SPH simulation approach for multiple-fluid flows. The spatial distribution of different phases or components is modeled using the volume fraction representation, the dynamics of multiple-fluid flows is captured by using an improved mixture model, and a stable and accurate SPH formulation is rigorously derived to resolve the complex transport and transformation processes encountered in multiple-fluid flows. The new approach can capture a wide range of realworld multiple-fluid phenomena, including mixing/unmixing of miscible and immiscible fluids, diffusion effect and chemical reaction etc. Moreover, the new multiple-fluid SPH scheme can be readily integrated into existing state-of-the-art SPH simulators, and the multiple-fluid simulation is easy to set up. Various examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.

A well-known conjecture of Yau states that the first eigenvalue of every closed minimal hypersurface Mn in the unit sphere S^(n+1)(1) is just its dimension n. The present paper shows that Yau conjecture is true for minimal isoparametric hypersurfaces. Moreover, the more fascinating result of this paper is that the first eigenvalues of the focal submanifolds are equal to their dimensions in the non-stable range.

We give a complete classification of (co)torsion pairs in finite $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories with maximal rigid objects which are not cluster tilting. These finite $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories are divided into two main classes: one denoted by $\A_{n,t}$ called of type $A$, and the other denoted by $D_{n,t}$ called of type $D$. By using the geometric model of cluster categories of type $A, $ or type $D$, we give a geometric description of (co)torsion pairs in $\A_{n,t}$ or $D_{n,t}$ respectively, via defining the periodic Ptolemy diagrams. This allows to count the number of (co)torsion pairs in these categories. Finally, we determine the hearts of (co)torsion pairs in all finite $2$-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories with maximal rigid objects which are not cluster tilting via quivers and relations.
