In this paper, we generalize the$A$_{∞}extrapolation theorem ($Cruz-Uribe–Martell–Pérez$, Extrapolation from$A$_{∞}weights and applications,$J. Funct. Anal.$$213$(2004), 412–439) and the$A$_{$p$}extrapolation theorem of Rubio de Francia to Schrödinger settings. In addition, we also establish weighted vector-valued inequalities for Schrödinger-type maximal operators by using weights belonging to $A_{p}^{\rho,\infty }$ which includes$A$_{$p$}. As applications, we establish weighted vector-valued inequalities for some Schrödinger-type operators.

The dynamic stability of vortex solutions to the Ginzburg-Landau and nonlinear Schrdinger equations is the basic assumption of the asymptotic particle plus field description of interacting vortices. For the Ginzburg-Landau dynamics we prove that all vortices are asymptotically nonlinearly stable relative to small radial perturbations. Initially finite energy perturbations of vortices decay to zero in<i>L</i> ^<i>p</i>(²) spaces with an algebraic rate as time tends to infinity. We also prove that under general (nonradial) perturbations, the plus and minus one-vortices are linearly dynamically stable in<i>L</i> ²; the linearized operator has spectrum equal to (, 0] and generates a<i>C</i> ₀ semigroup of contractions on<i>L</i> ²(²). The nature of the zero energy point is clarified; it is<i>resonance</i>, a property related to the infinite energy of planar vortices. In this paper we prove that the second (non-trivial) Neumann eigenvalue of the Laplace operator on smooth domains of RN with prescribed measure m attains its maximum on the union of two disjoint balls of measure m/2. As a consequence, the Pólya conjecture for the Neumann eigenvalues holds for the second eigenvalue and for arbitrary domains. We moreover prove that a relaxed form of the same inequality holds in the context of non-smooth domains and densities.

We present a unique global solvability and flocking estimate of an entropic weak solution to the one-dimensional pressureless Euler system with a flocking dissipation in all-to-all coupling setting. This model appears naturally as a quasi-equilibrium model for hydrodynamic description of CuckerSmale flocking. For the unique global solvability, we adopt the variation approach from Ding and Huang's work [19] on the inhomogeneous pressureless gas dynamic model. When initial mass and velocity are locally integrable and bounded measurable functions, respectively, we give explicit representations for the global entropic weak solutions. Our results do not require any smallness of initial data except that initial mass density is almost everywhere positive.

Two nonlinear diffusion equations for thin film epitaxy, with or without slope selection, are studied in this work. The nonlinearity models the Ehrlich–Schwoebel effect – the kinetic asymmetry in attachment and detachment of adatoms to and from terrace boundaries. Both perturbation analysis and numerical simulation are presented to show that such an atomistic effect is the origin of a nonlinear morphological instability, in a rough-smooth-rough pattern, that has been experimentally observed as transient in an early stage of epitaxial growth on rough surfaces. Initial-boundary-value problems for both equations are proven to be well-posed, and the solution regularity is also obtained. Galerkin spectral approximations are studied to provide both a priori bounds for proving the well-posedness and numerical schemes for simulation. Numerical results are presented to confirm part of the analysis and to explore the difference between the two models on coarsening dynamics.
