We study the action of the group of contact diffeomorphisms on CR deformations of compact three dimensional CR manifolds. Using anisotropic function spaces and an anisotropic structure on the space of contact diffeomorphisms, we establish the existence of local transverse slices to the action of the contact diffeomorphism group in the neighborhood of a fixed embeddable strongly pseudoconvex CR structure.

In two dimensions, we prove that the free boundary is a uniform$C$^{1}graph up to the flat part of the fixed boundary and also that two-phase points cannot occur on this part of the fixed boundary. Here, the free boundary refers to the union of the boundaries of the sets {$x$:±$u$($x$)>0}.

We prove that for every non-negative integer g, there exists a bound on the number of ends of a complete, embedded minimal surface M in R3 of genus g and finite topology. This bound on the finite number of ends when M has at least two ends implies that M has finite stability index which is bounded by a constant that only depends on its genus.

Let n be an integer such that 25≤n≤51. We construct a smooth metric g on Sn with the property that the set of constant scalar curvature metrics in the conformal class of g is not compact.
