Given a closed Riemannian manifold, we show how to close an orbit of the geodesic flow by a small perturbation of the metric in the C1 topology.

We obtain an estimate for the volumes of neighborhoods of sets of large curvature in three-dimensional K¨ahler-Einstein manifolds. The key technical step is to prove that a version of monotonicity for L2 energy holds as long as the underlying region does not “carry homology” (in the sense that the normalized energy in a ball controls the normalized energy in an interior ball).

We review some recent results on the mean curvature flows of Lagrangian submanifolds from the perspective of geometric partial differential equations. These include global existence and convergence results, characterizations of first-time singularities, and constructions of self-similar solutions.

We show that the notion of hyperconvex representation due to F. Labourie gives a geometric characterization of the representations of a surface group in PSLn(R) that belong to the Hitchin component.

For almost all Riemannian metrics (in the C1 Baire sense) on a closed manifold M^{n+1}, 3 \leq n + 1 \leq 7, we prove that there is a sequence of closed, smooth, embedded, connected minimal hypersurfaces that is equidistributed in M. This gives a quantitative version of a result by Irie and the first two authors, that established density of minimal hypersurfaces for generic metrics. The main tool is the Weyl Law for the Volume Spectrum proven by Liokumovich and the first two authors .
