We study a system of semilinear hyperbolic equations passively advected by smooth white noise in time random velocity fields. Such a system arises in modelling non-premixed isothermal turbulent flames under single-step kinetics of fuel and oxidizer. We derive closed equations for one-point and multi-point probability distribution functions (PDFs) and closed-form analytical formulae for the one-point PDF function, as well as the two-point PDF function under homogeneity and isotropy. Exact solution formulae allow us to analyse the ensemble-averaged fuel/oxidizer concentrations and the motion of their level curves. We recover the empirical formulae of combustion in the thin reaction zone limit and show that these approximate formulae can either underestimate or overestimate average concentrations when the reaction zone is not tending to zero. A recently proposed class of multivariate Public-Key Cryptosystems, the Rainbow-Like Digital Signature Schemes, in which successive sets of central variables are obtained from previous ones by solving linear equations, seem to lead to efficient schemes (TTS, TRMS, and Rainbow) that perform well on systems of low computational resources. Recently SFLASH (C^{∗−}) was broken by Dubois, Fouque, Shamir, and Stern via a differential attack. In this paper, we exhibit similar algebraic and diffential attacks, that will reduce published Rainbow-like schemes below their security levels. We will also discuss how parameters for Rainbow and TTS schemes should be chosen for practical applications.

We use an RLWE-based key exchange scheme to construct a simple and efficient post-quantum oblivious transfer based on the Ring Learning with Errors assumption. We prove that our protocol is secure in the Universal Composability framework against static malicious adversaries in the random oracle model. The main idea of the protocol is that the receiver and the sender interact using the RLWE-based key exchange in such a way that the sender computes two keys, one of them shared with the receiver. It is infeasible for the sender to know which is the shared key and for the receiver to get information about the other one. The sender encrypts each message with each key using a symmetric-key encryption scheme and the receiver can only decrypt one of the ciphertexts. The protocol is extremely efficient in terms of computational and communication complexity, and thus a strong candidate for post-quantum applications.

We prove that the first Chern form of the moduli space of polarized Calabi-Yau manifolds, with the Hodge metric or the Weil-Petersson metric, represent the first Chern class of the canonical extensions of the tangent bundle to the compactification of the moduli space with normal crossing divisors.

We consider the zero heat conductivity limit to a contact discontinuity for the mono-dimensional full compressible Navier--Stokes--Fourier system. The method is based on the relative entropy method and does not assume any smallness conditions on the discontinuity nor on the bounded variation norm of the initial data. It is proved that for any viscosity , the solution of the compressible Navier--Stokes--Fourier system (with well-prepared initial value) converges, when the heat conductivity tends to zero, to the contact discontinuity solution to the corresponding Euler system. We obtain the decay rate . It implies that the heat conductivity dominates the dissipation in the regime of the limit to a contact discontinuity. This is the first result, based on the relative entropy, of an asymptotic limit to a discontinuous solution for a system.
