Our aim is to study fractional order differential inclusions with infinite delays in Banach spaces. We impose the regularity condition on multivalued nonlinearity in terms of measures of noncompactness to get the existence result. Some properties of the solution map are proved.

THE MAIN PURPOSE of this paper is to give a simple and unified new proof of the Witten rigidity theorems, which were conjectured by Witten and first proved by Taubes [25], Bott-Taubes [S], Hirzebruch Cl23 and Krichever [15]. Our proof shows that the modular invariance, which is the intrinsic symmetry of elliptic genera, actually implies their rigidity. Some new properties of elliptic genera and their relationships with theta-functions are also discussed. We remark that our proof makes essential uses of the new feature of loop groups and loop spaces, the modular invariance. We note that, with the help of the modular group, we can catch the topological information on loop space by simply working on finite-dimensional manifold. By developing this idea further, in [21] we have proved the rigidity of the Dirac operator on loop space twisted by higher-level loop group representations, while the Witten ridigity theorems are the special cases of level 1. Many topological vanishing theorems are also derived in [21] by refining the argument in this paper, especially an &-vanishing theorem for loop space. In [19] modular invariance is used again to establish a general miraculous cancellation formula, relating the Hirzebruch L-form to certain twisted &-forms, which has many interesting topological results as consequences. These results were announced in [20].

We consider a model semilinear reaction-diffusion system with cubic nonlinear reaction terms and small spatially decaying initial data on R 1. The model system is motivated by the thermal-diffusive system in combustion, and it reduces to a scalar reaction-diffusion equation with Zeldovich nonlinearity when the Lewis number is one and proper initial data are prescribed. For scalar equations of similar type it is well known that while a nonlinearity of degree greater than three (supercritical case) has no effect for large times a cubic nonlinearity qualitatively changes the long time behaviour. The latter case has been treated in the literature by a rescaling method under the additional assumption of smallness of the nonlinearity. Although for our system the cubic nonlinearity is also critical we establish large time behaviour when the nonlinearity is not necessarily small which essentially differs from the supercritical case. We combine the method of searching for an invariant subspace of the unbalanced Oil and Vinegar signature scheme and the Minrank method to defeat the new TTS signature scheme, which was suggested for low-cost smart card applications at CHES 2004. We show that the attack complexity is less than 2^{50}.

We consider an extended second-order cone linear complementarity problem (SOCLCP), including the generalized SOCLCP, the horizontal SOCLCP, the vertical SOCLCP, and the mixed SOCLCP as special cases. In this paper, we present some simple second-order cone constrained and unconstrained reformulation problems, and under mild conditions prove the equivalence between the stationary points of these optimization problems and the solutions of the extended SOCLCP. Particularly, we develop a proximal gradient descent method for solving the second-order cone constrained problems. This method is very simple and at each iteration makes only one Euclidean projection onto second-order cones. We establish global convergence and, under a local Lipschitzian error bound assumption, linear rate of convergence. Numerical comparisons are made with the limited-memory BFGS method for the
