A method for exploring the structure of populations of complex objects, such as images, is considered. The objects are summarized by feature vectors. The statistical backbone is Principal Component Analysis in the space of feature vectors. Visual insights come from representing the results in the original data space. In an ophthalmological example, endemic outliers motivate the development of a bounded influence approach to PCA.

This article studied the speed of addition and multiplication of natural number in different scale systems, the times of addition and multiplication in different scale systems have been compared quantificationally through a function model presented. The conclusion is that binary system is the best for addition, binary system and ternary system are better than other scale systems for multiplication, and they each has a suitable range.

In this paper, we construct a new suboptimal filter by deriving the Ito's stochastic differential equations of the estimation of higher order central moments satisfy and imposing some conditions to form a closed system. The essentially infinite-dimensional cubic sensor problem has been investigated in detail numerically to illustrate the reasonableness of the imposed conditions, and the numerical experiments support our discussion. A 2-dimensional polynomial filtering problem has also been experimented.
