The notion of mixed quermassintegrals in the classical Brunn-Minkowski theory is extended to that of Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals in the Orlicz Brunn-Minkowski theory. The analogs of the classical Cauchy- Kubota formula, the Minkowski isoperimetric inequality and the Brunn-Minkowski inequality are established for this new Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals.

There is much research on the dynamical complexity on irregular sets andlevel sets of ergodic average from the perspective of density in base space, theHausdorff dimension, Lebesgue positive measure, positive or full topological entropy (andtopological pressure), etc. However, this is not the case from the viewpoint of chaos.There are many results on the relationship of positive topological entropy and variouschaos. However, positive topological entropy does not imply a strong version of chaos,called DC1. Therefore, it is non-trivial to study DC1 on irregular sets and level sets. Inthis paper, we will show that, for dynamical systems with specification properties, thereexist uncountable DC1-scrambled subsets in irregular sets and level sets. Meanwhile, weprove that several recurrent level sets of points with different recurrent frequency haveuncountable DC1-scrambled subsets. The major argument in proving the above results isthat there exists uncountable DC1-scrambled subsets in saturated sets.

In statistics and machine learning, we are interested in the eigenvectors (or singular vectors) of certain matrices (eg covariance matrices, data matrices, etc). However, those matrices are usually perturbed by noises or statistical errors, either from random sampling or structural patterns. The Davis-Kahan sin theorem is often used to bound the difference between the eigenvectors of a matrix A and those of a perturbed matrix A= A+ E, in terms of l2 norm. In this survey paper, we will present the recent work on the study of the compressible fluids with vacuum states by illustrating its interesting and singular behavior through some systems of fluid dynamics, that is, Euler equations, EulerPoisson equations and NavierStokes equations. The main concern is the well-posedness of the problem when vacuum presents and the singular behavior of the solution near the interface separating the vacuum and the gas. Furthermore, the relation of the solutions for the gas dynamics with vacuum to those of the Boltzmann equation will also be discussed. In fact, the results obtained so far for vacuum states are far from being complete and satisfactory. Therefore, this paper can only be served as an introduction to this interesting field which has many open and challenging mathematical problems.
