In this note, we examine the Jacobian ring description of the Hodge structure of zero loci of vector bundle sections on a class of ambient varieties. We consider a set of cohomological vanishing conditions that imply such a description, and we verify these conditions for some new cases. We also observe that the method can be directly extended to log homogeneous varieties. We apply the Jacobian ring to study the null varieties of period integrals and their derivatives, generalizing a result in [9] for projective spaces. As an additional application, we prove the Hodge conjecture for very generic hypersurfaces in certain generalized flag varieties.

For a smooth projective toric surface we determine the Donaldson invariants and their wallcrossing in terms of the Nekrasov partition function. Using the solution of the Nekrasov conjecture [33, 38, 3] and its refinement [34], we apply this result to give a generating function for the wallcrossing of Donaldson invariants of good walls of simply connected projective surfaces with b+ = 1 in terms of modular forms. This formula was proved earlier in [19] more generally for simply connected 4-manifolds with b+ = 1, as- suming the Kotschick-Morgan conjecture, and it was also derived by physical arguments in [31].

We consider a multidimensional version of an inequality due to Leray as a substitute for Hardy’s inequality in the case $p = n ≥ 2$. In this paper we provide an optimal Sobolev-type improvement of this substitute, analogous to the corresponding improvements obtained for $p = 2 < n$ in S. Filippas, A. Tertikas, Optimizing improved Hardy inequalities, J. Funct. Anal. 192 (1) (2002) 186–233, and for $p > n ≥ 1$ in G. Psaradakis, An optimal Hardy-Morrey inequality, Calc. Var. We study S duality of four dimensional N= 2 Argyres-Douglas (AD) theory engineered from 6d A_ {N-1}(2, 0) theory. We find a (p, q) sequence of SCFTs, here (p, q) is co-prime and class S theory defined on sphere corresponds to class (0, 1) theory. We represent these theories by a sphere with marked points, and S duality is interpreted as different pants decompositions of the same punctured sphere. The weakly coupled gauge theory description involves gauging AD matter which is represented by three punctured sphere.
