Let M and N be two compact complex manifolds. We show that if the tautological line bundle O_{T^∗}M(1) is not pseudo-effective and O_{T^∗}N(1) is nef, then there is no non-constant holomorphic map from M to N. In particular, we prove that any holomorphic map from a compact complex manifold M with RC-positive tangent bundle to a compact complex manifold N with nef cotangent bundle must be a constant map. As an application, we obtain that there is no non-constant holomorphic map from a compact Hermitian manifold with positive holomorphic sectional curvature to a Hermitian manifold with non-positive holomorphic bisectional curvature.

We construct noncompact solutions to the affine normal flow of hypersurfaces, and show that all ancient solutions must be either ellipsoids (shrinking solitons) or paraboloids (translating solitons). We also provide a new proof of the existence of a hyperbolic affine sphere asymptotic to the boundary of a convex cone containing no lines, which is originally due to Cheng-Yau. The main techniques are local second-derivative estimates for a parabolic Monge-Amp`ere equation modeled on those of Ben Andrews and Guti´errez-Huang, a decay estimate for the cubic form under the affine normal flow due to Ben Andrews, and a hypersurface barrier due to Calabi.

The authors derive a McShane identity for once-punctured super tori. Relying upon earlier work on super Teichmuller theory by the last two-named authors, they further develop the supergeometry of these surfaces and establish asymptotic growth rate of their length spectra.

The sharp affine isoperimetric inequality that bounds the volume of the centroid body of a star body (from below) by the volume of the star body itself is the Busemann-Petty centroid inequality. A decade ago, the Lp analogue of the classical BusemannPetty centroid inequality was proved. Here, the definition of the centroid body is extended to an Orlicz centroid body of a star body, and the corresponding analogue of the Busemann-Petty centroid inequality is established for convex bodies.

We generalize the results of Adams–Schoenfeld [2], finding large classes of totally geodesic Seifert surfaces in hyperbolic knot and link complements, each covering a rigid 2-orbifold embedded in some hyperbolic 3-orbifold. In addition, we provide a uniqueness theorem and demonstrate that many knots cannot possess totally geodesic Seifert surfaces by giving bounds on the width invariant in the presence of such a surface. Finally, we utilize these examples to demonstrate that the Six Theorem is sharp for knot complements in the 3-sphere.
