In this paper, we consider the L p dual Minkowski problem by geometric variational method. Using anisotropic Gauss–Kronecker curvature flows, we establish the existence of smooth solutions of the L p dual Minkowski problem when pq ≥ 0 and the given data is even. If f ≡ 1, we show under some restrictions on p and q that the only even, smooth, uniformly convex solution is the unit ball.

The notion of mixed quermassintegrals in the classical Brunn-Minkowski theory is extended to that of Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals in the Orlicz Brunn-Minkowski theory. The analogs of the classical Cauchy- Kubota formula, the Minkowski isoperimetric inequality and the Brunn-Minkowski inequality are established for this new Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals.

In this paper, we prove the global rigidity of sphere packings on 3-dimensional manifolds. This is a 3-dimensional analogue of the rigidity theorem of Andreev-Thurston and was conjectured by Cooper and Rivin. We also prove a global rigidity result using a combinatorial scalar curvature introduced by Ge and the author.
