Consider an N-Boson system interacting via a two-body repulsive short-range potential $V$ in a three dimensional box  of side length $L$. We take the $limit N,L \to \infty $ while keeping the density $\rho = N/L^3 fixed and small. We prove a new lower bound for its ground state energy per particle $$ \frac{E(N,\Lambda)}{N} \ge 4 \pi a \rho [1- O(\rho^{1/3} | log \rho |^3) ] $$ as $\rho \to 0$, where $a$ is the scattering length of $V$.

A class of variable selection procedures for parametric models via nonconcave penalized likelihood was proposed in Fan and Li (2001a). It has been shown there that the resulting procedures perform as well as if the subset of significant variables were known in advance. Such a property is called an oracle property. The proposed procedures were illustrated in the context of linear regression, robust linear regression and generalized linear models. In this paper, the nonconcave penalized likelihood approach is extended further to the Cox proportional hazards model and the Cox proportional hazards frailty model, two commonly used semi-parametric models in survival analysis. As a result, new variable selection procedures for these two commonly-used models are proposed. For stratified Mukai flops of type An,k,D2k+1 and E6,I , it is shown that the fiber product induces isomorphisms on Chow motives. In contrast to (standard) Mukai flops, the cup product is generally not preserved. For An,2, D5 and E6,I flops, quantum corrections are found through degeneration/deformation to ordinary flops.
