We give a holomorphic extension result for continuous CR functions on a non-generic CR submanifold$N$of ℂ^{$n$}to complex transversal wedges with edges containing$N$. We show that given any$v$∈ℂ^{$n$}∖($T$_{$p$}$N$+$iT$_{$p$}$N$), there exists a wedge of direction$v$whose edge contains a neighborhood of$p$in$N$, such that any continuous CR function defined locally near$p$extends holomorphically to that wedge.

Given an Artinian algebra $A$ over a field $k$, there are several combinatorial objects associated to $A$. They are the diagram $D_A$ as defined by Drozd and Kirichenko, the natural quiver $\Delta_A$ defined by Li (cf. Section 2), and a generalized version of $k$-species $(A/r, r/r^2)$ with $r$ being the Jacobson radical of $A$. When $A$ is splitting over the field $k$, the diagram $D_A$ and the well-known ext-quiver $\Gamma_A$ are the same. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the relations among these combinatorial objects and in turn to use these relations to give a characterization of the algebra $A$.

We find bounds for Weil-Petersson holomorphic sectional curvature, and the Weil-Petersson curvature operator in several regimes, that do not depend on the topology of the underlying surface. Among other results, we show that the minimal Weil-Petersson holomorphic sectional curvature of a sufficiently thick hyperbolic surface is comparable to $-1$, independently of the genus. This provides a counterexample to some suggestions that the Weil-Petersson metric becomes asymptotically flat, as the genus $g$ goes to infinity, in the thick loci in \tec space. Adopting a different perspective on curvature, we also show that the minimal (most negative) eigenvalue of the curvature operator at any point in the \tec space $\Teich(S_g)$ of a closed surface $S_g$ of genus $g$ is uniformly bounded away from zero. Restricting to a thick part of $\Teich(S_g)$, we show that the minimal eigenvalue is uniformly bounded below by an explicit constant which does not depend on the topology of the surface but only on the given bound on injectivity radius.

We propose an efficient eigensolver for computing densely distributed spectra of the two-dimensional transmission eigenvalue problem (TEP), which is derived from Maxwell's equations with Tellegen media and the transverse magnetic mode. The governing equations, when discretized by the standard piecewise linear finite element method, give rise to a large-scale quadratic eigenvalue problem (QEP). Our numerical simulation shows that half of the positive eigenvalues of the QEP are densely distributed in some interval near the origin. The quadratic JacobiDavidson method with a so-called non-equivalence deflation technique is proposed to compute the dense spectrum of the QEP. Extensive numerical simulations show that our proposed method processes the convergence efficiently, even when it needs to compute more than 5000 desired eigenpairs. We prove that all maximal-tb positive Legendrian torus links (n,m) in the standard contact 3-sphere, except for (2,m), (3,3), (3,4) and (3,5), admit infinitely many Lagrangian fillings in the standard symplectic 4-ball. This is proven by constructing infinite order Lagrangian concordances that induce faithful actions of the modular group PSL(2,Z) and the mapping class group M0,4 into the coordinate rings of algebraic varieties associated to Legendrian links. In particular, our results imply that there exist Lagrangian concordance monoids with subgroups of exponential-growth, and yield Stein surfaces homotopic to a 2-sphere with infinitely many distinct exact Lagrangian surfaces of higher-genus. We also show that there exist infinitely many satellite and hyperbolic knots with Legendrian representatives admitting infinitely many exact Lagrangian fillings.
