In this paper, we prove some results on bi-Hölder extensions not only for biholomorphisms but also for more general Kobayashi metric quasi-isometries between the domains. Furthermore, we establish the Gehring–Hayman type theorems on certain complex domains which play an important role through the paper. Then by applying the above results, we show the bi-Hölder equivalence between the Euclidean boundary and the Gromov boundary of bounded convex domains which are Gromov hyperbolic with respect to their Kobayashi metrics.

To study arithmetic structures of natural numbers, we introduce a notion of entropy of arithmetic functions, called anqie entropy. This entropy possesses some crucial properties common to both Shannon's and Kolmogorov's entropies. We show that all arithmetic functions with zero anqie entropy form a C*-algebra. Its maximal ideal space defines our arithmetic compactification of natural numbers, which is totally disconnected but not extremely disconnected. We also compute the $K$-groups of the space of all continuous functions on the arithmetic compactification. As an application, we show that any topological dynamical system with topological entropy $\lambda$, can be approximated by symbolic dynamical systems with entropy less than or equal to $\lambda$.

We study the space of Killing fields on the four dimensional AdS spacetime AdS 3,1 . Two subsets S and O are identified: S (the spinor Killing fields) is constructed from imaginary Killing spinors, and O (the observer Killing fields) consists of all hypersurface orthogonal, future timelike unit Killing fields. When the cosmology constant vanishes, or in the Minkowski spacetime case, these two subsets have the same convex hull in the space of Killing fields. In presence of the cosmology constant, the convex hull of O is properly contained in that of S . This leads to two different notions of energy for an asymptotically AdS spacetime, the spinor energy and the observer energy. In [10], Chru\'sciel, Maerten and Tod proved the positivity of the spinor energy and derived important consequences among the related conserved quantities. We show that the positivity of the observer energy follows from the positivity of the spinor energy. A new notion called the "rest mass" of an asymptotically AdS spacetime is then defined by minimizing the observer energy, and is shown to be evaluated in terms of the adjoint representation of the Lie algebra of Killing fields. It is proved that the rest mass has the desirable rigidity property that characterizes the AdS spacetime.

We shall be concerned with the indicator$p$of an analytic functional μ on a complex manifold$U$: $$p(\varphi ) = \overline {\mathop {\lim }\limits_{t \to + \infty } } \frac{l}{t}\log \left| {\mu (e^{t\varphi } )} \right|,$$ where ϕ is an arbitrary analytic function on$U$. More specifically, we shall consider the smallest upper semicontinuous majorant$p$^{$J$}of the restriction of$p$to a subspace £ of the analytic functions. An obvious problem is then to characterize the set of functions$p$^{$J$}which can occur as regularizations of indicators. In the case when$U$=$C$^{$n$}and £ is the space of all linear functions on$C$^{$n$}, this set can be described more easily as the set of functions(0.1) $$\mathop {\lim }\limits_{\theta \to \zeta } \overline {\mathop {\lim }\limits_{t \to + \infty } } \frac{l}{t}\log \left| {u(t\theta )} \right|$$ of$n$complex variables ζ∈$C$^{$n$}where$u$is an entire function of exponential type in$C$^{$n$}. We hall prove that a function in$C$^{$n$}is of the form (0.1) for some entire function$u$of exponential type if and only if it is plurisubharmonic and positively homogeneous of order one (Theorem 3.4). The proof is based on the characterization given by Fujita and Takeuchi of those open subsets of complex projective$n$-space which are Stein manifolds.
