In statistics and machine learning, we are interested in the eigenvectors (or singular vectors) of certain matrices (eg covariance matrices, data matrices, etc). However, those matrices are usually perturbed by noises or statistical errors, either from random sampling or structural patterns. In this survey paper, we will present the recent work on the study of the compressible fluids with vacuum states by illustrating its interesting and singular behavior through some systems of fluid dynamics, that is, Euler equations, EulerPoisson equations and NavierStokes equations. The main concern is the well-posedness of the problem when vacuum presents and the singular behavior of the solution near the interface separating the vacuum and the gas. Furthermore, the relation of the solutions for the gas dynamics with vacuum to those of the Boltzmann equation will also be discussed. In fact, the results obtained so far for vacuum states are far from being complete and satisfactory. Therefore, this paper can only be served as an introduction to this interesting field which has many open and challenging mathematical problems. Completely invariant components of the Fatou sets of meromorphic maps are discussed. Positive answers are given to Baker’s and Bergweiler’s problems that such components are the only Fatou components for certain classes of meromorphic maps.

We construct small cancellation labellings for some infinite sequences of finite graphs of bounded degree. We use them to define infinite graphical small cancellation presentations of groups. This technique allows us to provide examples of groups with exotic properties: • We construct the first examples of finitely generated coarsely non-amenable groups (that is, groups without Guoliang Yu’s Property A) that are coarsely embeddable into a Hilbert space. Moreover, our groups act properly on CAT(0) cubical complexes. • We construct the first examples of finitely generated groups, with expanders embedded isometrically into their Cayley graphs—in contrast, in the case of the Gromov monster expanders are not even coarsely embedded. We present further applications.
