We establish an interior C 2 estimate for k+ 1 convex solutions to Dirichlet problems of k-Hessian equations. We also use such estimate to obtain a rigidity theorem for k+ 1 convex entire solutions of k-Hessian equations in Euclidean space.

In this paper, we show that any compact Kähler manifold homotopic to a compact Riemannian manifold with negative sectional curvature admits a Kähler–Einstein metric of general type. Moreover, we prove that, on a compact symplectic manifold X homotopic to a compact Riemannian manifold with negative sectional curvature, for any almost complex structure J compatible with the symplectic form, there is no non-constant J-holomorphic entire curve f:C→X.

In this paper we explicitly construct Moishezon twistor spaces on nCP2 for arbitrary n ≥ 2 which admit a holomorphic Caction. When n = 2, they coincide with Y. Poon’s twistor spaces. When n = 3, they coincide with the ones studied by the author in [14]. When n ≥ 4, they are new twistor spaces, to the best of the author’s knowledge. By investigating the anticanonical system, we show that our twistor spaces are bimeromorphic to conic bundles over certain rational surfaces. The latter surfaces can be regarded as orbit spaces of the C-action on the twistor spaces. Namely they are minitwistor spaces. We explicitly determine their defining equations in CP4. It turns out that the structure of the minitwistor space is independent of n. Further, we explicitly construct a CP2-bundle over the resolution of this surface, and provide an explicit defining equation of the conic bundles. It shows that the number of irreducible components of the discriminant locus for the conic bundles increases as n does. Thus our twistor spaces have a lot of similarities with the famous LeBrun twistor spaces, where the minitwistor space CP1 ×CP1 in LeBrun’s case is replaced by our minitwistor spaces found in [15].

We prove the nonexistence of stable immersed minimal surfaces uniformly conformally equivalent to $ \mathbb{C}$ in any complete orientable four-dimensional Riemannian manifold with uniformly positive isotropic curvature. We also generalize the same nonexistence result to higher dimensions provided that the ambient manifold has uniformly positive complex sectional curvature. The proof consists of two parts: assuming an ``eigenvalue condition'' on the $ \overline {\partial }$-operator of a holomorphic bundle, we prove (1) a vanishing theorem for these holomorphic bundles on $ \mathbb{C}$ and (2) an existence theorem for holomorphic sections with controlled growth by Hörmander's weighted $L^2$-method.

In this paper, we build properly embedded singly periodic minimal surfaces which have infinite total curvature in the quotient by their period. These surfaces are constructed by adding a handle to the toroidal half-plane layers defined by H. Karcher. The technics that we use are to solve a Jenkins-Serrin problem over a strip domain and to consider the conjugate minimal surface to the graph. To construct the Jenkins Serrin graph, we solve in fact the maximal surface equation and use an other conjugation technic.
