We show that the Lieb-Liniger model for one-dimensional bosons with repulsive $\delta$-function interaction can be rigorously derived via a scaling limit from a dilute three-dimensional Bose gas with arbitrary repulsive interaction potential of finite scattering length. For this purpose, we prove bounds on both the eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions of three-dimensional bosons in strongly elongated traps and relate them to the corresponding quantities in the Lieb-Liniger model. In particular, if both the scattering length $a$ and the radius $r$ of the cylindrical trap go to zero, the Lieb-Liniger model with coupling constant $g \sim a/r^2$ is derived. Our bounds are uniform in $g$ in the whole parameter range $0\leq g\leq \infty$, and apply to the Hamiltonian for three-dimensional bosons in a spectral window of size $\sim r^{-2}$ above the ground state energy.

For the SU (N) invariant supersymmetric matrix model related to membranes in 4 space-time dimensions we argue that< Psi, chi>= 0 for the previously obtained solution of Q chi= 0, Q^{dagger} Psi= 0.

Gravitational waves are predicted by the general theory of relativity. It has been shown that gravitational waves have a nonlinear memory, displacing test masses permanently. This is called the Christodoulou memory. We proved that the electromagnetic field contributes at highest order to the nonlinear memory effect of gravitational waves, enlarging the permanent displacement of test masses. In experiments like LISA or LIGO which measure distances of test masses, the Christodoulou memory will manifest itself as a permanent displacement of these objects. It has been suggested to detect the Christodoulou memory effect using radio telescopes investigating small changes in pulsar's pulse arrival times. The latter experiments are based on present-day technology and measure changes in frequency. In the present paper, we study the electromagnetic Christodoulou memory effect and compute it for binary neutron

Warped conformal field theory (WCFT) is a two dimensional quantum field theory whose local symmetry algebra consists of a Virasoro algebra and a U(1) Kac-Moody algebra. In this paper, we study correlation functions for primary operators in WCFT. Similar to conformal symmetry, warped conformal symmetry is very constraining. The form of the two and three point functions are determined by the global warped conformal symmetry while the four point functions can be determined up to an arbitrary function of the cross ratio. The warped conformal bootstrap equation are constructed by formulating the notion of crossing symmetry. In the large central charge limit, four point functions can be decomposed into global warped conformal blocks, which can be solved exactly. Furthermore, we revisit the scattering problem in warped AdS spacetime (WAdS), and give a prescription on how to match the bulk result to a WCFT retarded Green’s function. Our result is consistent with the conjectured holographic dualities between WCFT and WAdS.

We use entangled multimode coherent states to produce entangled giant graviton states, in the context of gauge/gravity duality. We make a smeared distribution of the entangled multimode coherent states on the circle, or on the five-sphere, in the higher dimensional view. In gauge/gravity duality, we analyze the superposition of giant graviton states, and the entangled pairs of giant graviton states. We map a class of angular distribution functions to unitary operations on the pairs. We also use Young tableau states to construct cat states and qudit states. Various bipartite quantum states involving Young tableau states are analyzed, including micro-macro entangled states. Mixed states of Young tableau states are generated, by using ensemble mixing using angular distribution functions, and also by going through noisy quantum channels. We then produce mixed entangled pair of giant graviton states, by including interaction with the environment and using noisy quantum channels.
