In the present paper, we prove the 2-part of Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture for an explicit infinite family of rank 0 quadratic twists of the modular elliptic curve χ_0(14), using an explicit form of the Waldspurger formula. We also give an explicit infinite family of rank 1 quadratic twists of χ_0(14) whose Tate–Shafarevich group is of odd cardinality.

We introduce a new technique for isolating components on the spectral side of the trace formula. By applying it to the Jacquet--Rallis relative trace formula, we complete the proof of the global Gan--Gross--Prasad conjecture and its refinement Ichino--Ikeda conjecture for U(n)×U(n+1) in the stablecase.

The subject of counting positive lattice points in n-dimensional simplexes has interested mathematicians for decades due to its applications in singularity the- ory and number theory. Enumerating the lattice points in a right-angled simplex is equivalent to determining the geometric genus of an isolated singularity of a weighted homogeneous complex polynomial. It is also a method to shed insight into large gaps in the sequence of prime numbers. Seeking to contribute to these applications, in this paper, we prove the Yau Geometric Conjecture in six dimensions, a sharp upper bound for the number of positive lattice points in a six-dimensional tetrahedron. The main method of proof is summing existing sharp upper bounds for the number of points in 5-dimensional simplexes over the cross sections of the six-dimensional simplex. Our new results pave the way for the proof of a fully general sharp upper bound for the number of lattice points in a simplex. It also sheds new light on proving the Yau Geometric and Yau Number-Theoretic Conjectures in full generality.

Following the method developed by Waldspurger and Beuzart-Plessis in their proof of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture, we prove a local trace formula for the Ginzburg-Rallis model. By applying this trace formula, we prove the multiplicity one theorem for the Ginzburg-Rallis model over the tempered Vogan L-packets. In some cases, we also prove the epsilon dichotomy conjecture which gives a relation between the multiplicity and the exterior cube epsilon factor. This is a sequel work of [Wan15] in which we proved the geometric side of the trace formula.

In this talk, I will explain the recent applications of Arakelov theory to the Bogomolov Conjecture on small points.
