For every affine variety over a global function field, we show that the set of its points with coordinates in an arbitrary rank-one multiplicative subgroup of this function field is topologically dense in the set of its points with coordinates in the topological closure of this subgroup in the product of the multiplicative group of those local completions of this function field over all but finitely many places.

We study the structures of Fourier coefficients of automorphic forms on symplectic groups based on their local and global structures related to Arthur parameters. This is a first step towards the general conjecture on the relation between the structure of Fourier coefficients and Arthur parameters for automorphic forms occurring in the discrete spectrum, given by the first named author.

We prove a new upper bound for the dimension of the space of cohomological automorphic forms of fixed level and growing parallel weight on $\mathrm{GL}_2$ over a number field which is not totally real, improving the one obtained by Marshall. The main tool of the proof is the mod $p$ representation theory of $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$ as started by Barthel-Livne and Breuil, and developed by Paskunas.

We introduce a new technique for isolating components on the spectral side of the trace formula. By applying it to the Jacquet--Rallis relative trace formula, we complete the proof of the global Gan--Gross--Prasad conjecture and its refinement Ichino--Ikeda conjecture for U(n)×U(n+1) in the stablecase.

Following the method developed by Waldspurger and Beuzart-Plessis in their proof of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture, we prove a local trace formula for the Ginzburg-Rallis model. By applying this trace formula, we prove the multiplicity one theorem for the Ginzburg-Rallis model over the tempered Vogan L-packets. In some cases, we also prove the epsilon dichotomy conjecture which gives a relation between the multiplicity and the exterior cube epsilon factor. This is a sequel work of [Wan15] in which we proved the geometric side of the trace formula.
