In this paper we describe an inductive machinery to investigate asymptotic behaviors of homology groups and related invariants of representations of certain graded combinatorial categories over a commutative Noetherian ring k, via introducing inductive functors which generalize important properties of shift functors of FI-modules. In particular, a sufficient criterion for finiteness of Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of finitely generated representations of these categories is obtained. As applications, we show that a few important infinite combinatorial categories appearing in representation stability theory are equipped with inductive functors, and hence the finiteness of Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of their finitely generated representations is guaranteed. We also prove that truncated representations of these categories have linear minimal resolutions by relative projective modules, which are precisely linear minimal projective resolutions when k is a field of characteristic 0.

We show that the standard graded cover of the well-known category $\mathcal{O}$ of Bernstein–Gelfand–Gelfand can be characterized by its compatibility with the action of the center of the enveloping algebra.

A finite EI category is a small category with finitely many morphisms such that every endomorphism is an isomorphism. They include finite groups, finite posets and free categories of finite quivers as special cases. In this paper we consider the representation types of finite EI categories, describe some criteria for finite representation type, and use them to classify the representation types of several classes of finite EI categories with extra properties.

Let G be a connected reductive complex algebraic group, and E a complex elliptic curve. Let GE denote the connected component of the trivial bundle in the stack of semistable Gbundles on E. We introduce a complex analytic uniformization of G_E by adjoint quotients of reductive subgroups of the loop group of G. This can be viewed as a nonabelian version of the classical complex analytic uniformization E=C^∗/q^Z. We similarly construct a complex analytic uniformization of G itself via the exponential map, providing a nonabelian version of the standard isomorphism C^∗= C/Z, and a complex analytic uniformization of G_E generalizing the standard presentation E = C/(Z ⊕ Zτ). Finally, we apply these results to the study of sheaves with nilpotent singular support. As an application to Betti geometric Langlands conjecture in genus 1, we define a functor from Sh_N(G_E) (the semistable part of the automorphic category) to IndCoh_{Nˇ}(Locsys_{Gˇ}(E)) (the spectral category).

It is known that finitely generated FI-modules over a field of characteristic 0 are Noetherian. We generalize this result to the abstract setting of an infinite EI category satisfying certain combinatorial conditions.
