Based on the recently developed data-driven time-frequency analysis [16], we propose a two-level method to look for the sparse time-frequency decomposition of multiscale data. In the two-level method, we rst run a local algorithm to get a good approximation of the instantaneous frequency. We then pass this instantaneous frequency to the global algorithm to get an accurate global Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) and instantaneous frequency. The two-level method alleviates the diculty of the mode mixing to some extent. We also present a method to reduce the end eects.

In this paper, we investigate the qualitative properties of positive solutions for a two-coupled elliptic system in the punctured space. We establish a monotonicity formula that completely characterizes the singularity of positive solutions. We prove a sharp global estimate for both components of positive solutions. We also prove the nonexistence of positive semi-singular solutions, which means that one component is bounded near the singularity and the other component is unbounded near the singularity.

In this paper, we construct the bilinear identities for the wave functions of an extended B-type Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (BKP) hierarchy, which contains two types of (2+1)-dimensional Sawada-Kotera equation with a self-consistent source (2d-SKwS-I and 2d-SKwS-II). By introducing an auxiliary variable corresponding to the extended flow for the BKP hierarchy, we find the tau-function and the bilinear identities for this extended BKP hierarchy. The bilinear identities can generate all the Hirota's bilinear equations for the zero-curvature forms of this extended BKP hierarchy. As examples, the Hirota's bilinear equations for the two types of 2d-SKwS (both 2d-SKwS-I and 2d-SKwS-II) will be given explicitly.
