We propose a computational efficient yet simple numerical algorithm to solve the surface eikonal equation on general implicit surfaces. The method is developed based on the embedding idea and the fast sweeping methods. We first approximate the solution to the surface eikonal equation by the Euclidean weighted distance function defined in a tubular neighbourhood of the implicit surface, and then apply the efficient fast sweeping method to numerically compute the corresponding viscosity solution. Unlike some other embedding methods which require the radius of the computational tube satisfies h = O ( x ) for some h = O ( x ) , our approach allows h = O ( x ) . This implies that the total number of grid points in the computational tube is optimal and is given by h = O ( x ) for a co-dimensional one surface in h = O ( x ) . We study the oriented exchange graph EG(Gamma_N Q) ofreachable hearts in the finite-dimensional derived category D(Gamma_N Q) of the CY-N Ginzburg algebra Gamma_N Q associated to an acyclic quiver Q. We show that any such heart is induced from some heart in the bounded derived category D(Q) via some ‘Lagrangian immersion’ L :D(Q)->D(Gamma_N Q). We build on this to show that the quotient of EG(Gamma_N Q) by the Seidel–Thomas braid group is the exchange graph CEG_N−1(Q)of cluster tilting sets in the (higher) cluster category C_N−1(Q). As an application, we interpret Buan–Thomas’ coloured quiver for a cluster tilting set in terms of the Ext quiver of any corresponding heart in D(Gamma_N Q).

Motivated by the works of Liu, we provide a unified approach to find Appell-Lerch series and Hecke-type series representations for mock theta functions. We establish a number of parameterized identities with two parameters $a$ and $b$. Specializing the choices of $(a,b)$, we not only give various known and new representations for the mock theta functions of orders 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8, but also present many other interesting identities. We find that some mock theta functions of different orders are related to each other, in the sense that their representations can be deduced from the same $(a,b)$-parameterized identity. Furthermore, we introduce the concept of false Appell-Lerch series. We then express the Appell-Lerch series, false Appell-Lerch series and Hecke-type series in this paper using the building blocks $m(x,q,z)$ and $f_{a,b,c}(x,y,q)$ introduced by Hickerson and Mortenson, as well as $\overline{m}(x,q,z)$ and $\overline{f}_{a,b,c}(x,y,q)$ introduced in this paper. We also show the equivalences of our new representations for several mock theta functions and the known representations.
