We develop foundational theory for the Laplacian flow for closed G2 structures which will be essential for future study. (1). We prove Shi-type derivative estimates for the Riemann curvature tensor Rm and torsion tensor T along the flow, i.e. that a bound on Λ(x,t)=(|∇T(x,t)|^2g(t)+|Rm(x,t)|^2g(t))^{1/2} will imply bounds on all covariant derivatives of Rm and T. (2). We show that Λ(x,t) will blow up at a finite-time singularity, so the flow will exist as long as Λ(x,t) remains bounded. (3). We give a new proof of forward uniqueness and prove backward uniqueness of the flow, and give some applications. (4). We prove a compactness theorem for the flow and use it to strengthen our long time existence result from (2) to show that the flow will exist as long as the velocity of the flow remains bounded. (5). Finally, we study soliton solutions of the Laplacian flow.

Forums have been one of the most important internet services since the 21st century. However, Forum users have to receive information in a passive way currently. The topics in forums are ordered by last update time (last reply time), thus the information that a user is interested in may be overwhelmed by a large number of other information. Users always have to scan many pages to find a minority of information they need. In this paper, based on the analysis of users' needs, I have designed a personalized forum topic ranking system. This personalized ranking system first calculates all the factors that will influence the user’s decision-making as to whether or not to view a topic by using his/her browsing history. Then the system predicts the click probability for each topic according to all the influence factors using a learned maximum entropy model. Finally, forum topics can be ranked by the predicted click probability, so as to make users find their favorite information easier. As shown by the experiments, the precision of the personalized ranking system is about 60% to 75%, which improves the traditional method (ordered by last update time) by 50% to 85%. In addition, with the normalization of the indicator functions of the maximum entropy model and the selection of the iterative endpoint, the training time can be lowered to an average of 0.01 seconds for each user. It indicates that such a model is able to meet the requirements of practical applications.

We consider the Schrödinger equation for the harmonic oscillator$i$$∂$_{$t$}$u$=$Hu$, where$H$=−Δ+|$x$|^{2}, with initial data in the Hermite–Sobolev space$H$^{−$s$/2}$L$^{2}(ℝ^{$n$}). We obtain smoothing and maximal estimates and apply these to perturbations of the equation and almost everywhere convergence problems.

We propose a semi-discrete scheme for 2D Keller-Segel equations based on a symmetrization reformation, which is equivalent to the convex splitting method and is free of any nonlinear solver. We show that, this new scheme is unconditionally stable as long as the initial condition does not exceed certain threshold, and it asymptotically preserves the quasi-static limit in the transient regime. Furthermore, we prove that the fully discrete scheme is conservative and positivity preserving, which makes it ideal for simulations. The analogical schemes for the radial symmetric cases and the subcritical degenerate cases are also presented and analyzed. With extensive numerical tests, we verify the claimed properties of the methods and demonstrate their superiority in various challenging applications.
