In this paper, we construct the bilinear identities for the wave functions of an extended B-type Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (BKP) hierarchy, which contains two types of (2+1)-dimensional Sawada-Kotera equation with a self-consistent source (2d-SKwS-I and 2d-SKwS-II). By introducing an auxiliary variable corresponding to the extended flow for the BKP hierarchy, we find the tau-function and the bilinear identities for this extended BKP hierarchy. The bilinear identities can generate all the Hirota's bilinear equations for the zero-curvature forms of this extended BKP hierarchy. As examples, the Hirota's bilinear equations for the two types of 2d-SKwS (both 2d-SKwS-I and 2d-SKwS-II) will be given explicitly.

We prove that a constrained Willmore immersion of a 2–torus into the conformal 4–sphere S4 is of “finite type”, that is, has a spectral curve of finite genus, or of “holomorphic type” which means that it is super conformal or Euclidean minimal with planar ends in R4 = S4\{1} for some point 1 2 S4 at infinity. This implies that all constrained Willmore tori in S4 can be constructed rather explicitly by methods of complex algebraic geometry. The proof uses quaternionic holomorphic geometry in combination with integrable systems methods similar to those of Hitchin’s approach [19] to the study of harmonic tori in S3.

The subject of this paper is a Jacobian, introduced by F. Lazzeri (unpublished), associated with every compact oriented Riemannian manifold whose dimension is twice an odd number. We study the Torelli and Schottky problem for Lazzeri's Jacobian of flat tori and we compare Lazzeri's Jacobian of Kähler manifolds with other Jacobians.
