We study the structures of Fourier coefficients of automorphic forms on symplectic groups based on their local and global structures related to Arthur parameters. This is a first step towards the general conjecture on the relation between the structure of Fourier coefficients and Arthur parameters for automorphic forms occurring in the discrete spectrum, given by the first named author.

Following our previous work \cite{HLY}, we introduce the notions of partial seed homomorphisms and partial ideal rooted cluster morphisms. Related to the theory of Green's equivalences, the isomorphism classes of sub-rooted cluster algebras of a rooted cluster algebra are corresponded one-by-one to the regular $\mathcal D$-classes of the semigroup consisting of partial seed endomorphisms of the initial seed. Moreover, for a rooted cluster algebra from a Riemannian surface, they are also corresponded to the isomorphism classes of the so-called paunched surfaces.

For any vertex algebra V and any subalgebra A of V, there is a new subalgebra of V known as the commutant of A in V. This construction was introduced by Frenkel-Zhu, and is a generalization of an earlier construction due to Kac-Peterson and Goddard-Kent-Olive known as the coset construction. In this paper, we interpret the commutant as a vertex algebra notion of invariant theory. We present an approach to describing commutant algebras in an appropriate category of vertex algebras by reducing the problem to a question in commutative algebra. We give an interesting example of a Howe pair (ie, a pair of mutual commutants) in the vertex algebra setting.

By applying the residue method for period integrals and Langlands-Shahidi’s theory for residues of Eisenstein series, we study the period integrals for six spherical varieties. For each spherical variety, we prove a relation between the period integrals and certain automorphic L-functions. In some cases, we also study the local multiplicity of the spherical varieties.

We give a generalization of the classical tilting theorem of Brenner and Butler. We show that for a 2-term silting complex P in the bounded homotopy category K^b(proj A) of finitely generated projective modules of a finite dimensional algebra A, the algebra B=End_{K^b(proj A)}(P) admits a 2-term silting complex Q with the following properties: (i) The endomorphism algebra of Q in K^b(proj B) is a factor algebra of A, and (ii) there are induced torsion pairs in mod A and mod B, such that we obtain natural equivalences induced by Hom- and Ext-functors. Moreover, we show how the Auslander–Reiten theory of mod B can be described in terms of the Auslander–Reiten theory of mod A.

In this paper, we give explicit descriptions of the centers and cocenters of 0-Hecke algebras associated to finite Coxeter groups.

In\cite {21}, Boltje and Maisch found a permutation complex of Specht modules in representation theory of Hecke algebras, which is the same as the Boltje-Hartmann complex appeared in the representation theory of symmetric groups and general linear groups. In this paper we prove the exactness of Boltje-Maisch complex in the dominant weight case.

In this paper, we give a uniform construction of irreducible genuine characters of the Pin cover W of a Weyl group W, and put them into the context of theory of Springer representations. In the process, we provide a direct connection between Springer theory, via Green polynomials, the irreducible representations of W, and an extended Dirac operator for graded Hecke algebras. We also introduce a q-elliptic pairing for W with respect to the reflection representation V. These constructions are of independent interest. The q-elliptic pairing is a generalization of the elliptic pairing of W introduced by Reeder, and it is also related to S. Kato's notion of (graded) Kostka systems for the semidirect product A W= C [W] S (V).

In this paper, we give a complete classification of cotorsion pairs in a cluster category C of type A^\infty_\infty via certain configurations of arcs, called τ-compact Ptolemy diagrams, in an infinite strip with marked points. As applications, we classify t-structures and functorially finite rigid subcategories in C, respectively. We also deduce Liu-Paquette's classification of cluster tilting subcategories of C and Ng's classification of torsion pairs in the cluster category of type A^\infty_\infty.

Let $G$ be a simple simply connected algebraic group and let $\mathfrak{g}_*$ be a $\mathbf{Z}/m$-grading on its Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$. G. Lusztig and Z. Yun, in a recent series of articles, studied the classification of simple $G_0$-equivariant perverse sheaves on the nilpotent cone of $\mathfrak{g}_i$ for $i\in \mathbf{Z}/m$, where $G_0$ is the exponentiation of the degree zero piece $\mathfrak{g}_0$. They proved a decomposition of the equivariant derived category of $\ell$-adic sheaves on the nilpotent cone of $\mathfrak{g}_i$ into blocks, each generated by a certain cuspidal local system via the procedure of {\itshape spiral inductions}. We prove a conjecture of them, stating that there is a bijection between 1) the set of simple perverse sheaves in a fixed block and 2) the set of simple modules of a block of a (trigonometric) degenerate double affine Hecke algebra (dDAHA). This is a dDAHA analogue of the Deligne--Langlands correspondence for affine Hecke algebras proven by Kazhdan--Lusztig. Our results generalise a previous work of E. Vasserot, where the perverse sheaves in the principal block were considered.

We prove that any derived equivalence between triangular algebras is standard, that is, it is isomorphic to the derived tensor functor given by a two-sided tilting complex.

Arthur classified the discrete automorphic representations of symplectic and orthogonal groups over a number field by that of the general linear groups. In this classification, those that are not from endoscopic lifting correspond to pairs (ϕ,b), where ϕ is an irreducible unitary cuspidal automorphic representation of some general linear group and b is an integer. In this paper, we study the local components of these automorphic representations at a nonarchimedean place, and we give a complete description of them in terms of their Langlands parameters.

Following the method developed by Waldspurger and Beuzart-Plessis in their proofs of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture, we are able to prove the geometric side of a local relative trace formula for the Ginzburg-Rallis model. Then by applying such formula, we prove a multiplicity formula of the GinzburgRallis model for the supercuspidal representations. Using that multiplicity formula, we prove the multiplicity one theorem for the Ginzburg-Rallis model over Vogan packets in the supercuspidal case.

In this paper we use a homological approach to obtain upper bounds for a few homological invariants of FI_G-modules V. These upper bounds are expressed in terms of the generating degree and torsion degree, which measure the top and socle of V under actions of non-invertible morphisms in the category respectively.

In this paper we describe several characterizations of basic finite-dimensional k-algebras A stratified for all linear orders, and classify their graded algebras as tensor algebras satisfying some extra property. We also discuss whether for a given preorder ≼, F(≼Δ), the category of A-modules with ≼Δ-filtrations, is closed under cokernels of monomorphisms, and classify quasi-hereditary algebras satisfying this property.

We study categories associated to a decorated marked surface S_△, which is obtained from an unpunctured marked surface S by adding a set of decorating points. For any triangulation T of S_△, let Γ_T be the associated Ginzburg dg algebra. We show that there is a bijection between reachable open arcs in S_△ and the reachable rigid indecomposables in the perfect derived category perΓ_T. This is the dual of the bijection, between simple closed arcs in S_△ and reachable spherical objects in the 3-Calabi-Yau category D_{fd}(ΓT), constructed in the prequel (Qiu in Math Ann 365:595–633, 2016). Moreover, we show that Amiot’s quotient perΓ_T/D_{fd}(ΓT) that defines the generalized cluster categories corresponds to the forgetful map S_△→S (forgetting the decorating points) in a suitable sense.

We prove a conjecture of Miemietz and Kashiwara on canonical bases and branching rules of affine Hecke algebras of type D. The proof is similar to the proof of the type B case in Varagnolo and Vasserot (in press) [15].

We develop a general procedure to study the combinatorial structure of Arthur packets for p-adic quasisplit Sp(N) and O(N) following the works of Mœglin. This allows us to answer many delicate questions concerning the Arthur packets of these groups, for example the size of the packets.

We give a geometric proof that any minimal length element in a (twisted) conjugacy class of a finite Coxeter group W has remarkable properties with respect to conjugation, taking powers in the associated braid monoid and taking the centralizer in W.

We will use the combinatorics of the G-stable pieces to describe the closure relation of the partition of partial flag varieties in [L3, section 4].

Let G be a reductive algebraic group over a field of positive characteristic and denote by C(G) the category of rational G-modules. In this note, we investigate the subcategory of C(G) consisting of those modules whose composition factors all have highest weights linked to the Steinberg weight. This subcategory is denoted ST and called the Steinberg component. We give an explicit equivalence between ST and C(G) and we derive some consequences. In particular, our result allows us to relate the Frobenius contracting functor to the projection functor from C(G) onto ST.

Let G be a connected almost simple algebraic group with a Dynkin automorphism . Let G be the connected almost simple algebraic group associated with G and . We prove that the dimension of the tensor invariant space of G is equal to the trace of on the corresponding tensor invariant space of G. We prove that if G has the saturation property then so does G . As a consequence, we show that the spin group Spin (2 n+ 1) has saturation factor 2, which strengthens the results of BelkaleKumar [1] and Sam [28] in the case of type B n.

A finite directed category is a k-linear category with finitely many objects and an underlying poset structure, where k is an algebraically closed field. This concept unifies structures such as k-linerizations of posets and finite EI categories, quotient algebras of finite-dimensional hereditary algebras, triangular matrix algebras, etc. In this paper we study representations of finite directed categories, discuss their stratification properties, and show the existence of generalized APR tilting modules for triangular matrix algebras under some assumptions.

We characterize the indecomposable injective objects in the category of finitely presented representations of an interval finite quiver.
